The fall of the year sees more seasonal trading patterns than the rest of the year. Two more major seasonal trades are discussed in the feature article: the Heating Oil-Gasoline spread, and the Post-Thanksgiving Buy signal. Both have worked well often in the past, although not every year. Recommendations are made for both.
There is also a brief discussion of the “Three Days Before Thanksgiving” on page 3, although that is not a tradable item.
Our market comment is on page 6. While the major indicators remain bullish, a “modified Bollinger Band” (mBB) sell signal is at hand. A recommendation is made on page 6.
On page 7, there is a more in-depth discussion of mBB sell signals, as well as a discussion of the nagging negative divergence in breadth that has persisted since early last July.
