This issue was published one day early, on Wednesday, March 26th. This is because of the AAPTA Conference in Austin (see page 10), to which I will be traveling on Thursday, March 27th (the usual publishing day).
On May 7th, Lawrence McMillan will be presenting the Volatility Capture Strategy to professional money managers in the “NAAIM Shark Tank” – a format similar to the Shark Tank TV show. Money managers have limited time to explain their system, and then they can be questioned by the managers on the panel (see page 10).
The feature article details occurrences where the “modified Bollinger Band” system is on a sell signal and the $VIX “spike peak” system is on a buy signal – as they are currently. Most of the time, it resolves with an upwards move, but not always.
On page 7, we recap the technical indicators that we follow. Essentially, we are awaiting a breakout from the 1840-1880 trading range in $SPX.
New recommendations include volatility trades in DRI and GALT, a conditional trade in BRKB, a speculative trade in CSCO (all on page 9), and a $VIX backspread (page 12).
